Privacy Policy

JobSelect Labs ("we", "us", "our") is the developer and operator of:

• jobselect.vercel.app — our website and web application
• JobAnalyze 6k — an AI model for job description analysis
• JobSelect CLI — a command-line tool distributed via PyPI
• JobAnalyze 6k REST API — a hosted inference API
• JobAnalyze 6k MCP Server — a Model Context Protocol server

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account on jobselect.vercel.app, we collect your name and email address. Your password is stored securely by Supabase Auth; we do not see your plaintext password.

2.2 API Keys

When you generate an API key, we store its SHA-256 hash, the email address of the account that generated it, and the creation timestamp. The raw key is shown once and never stored.

2.3 Job Description Data

When you use the Job Analyzer or call the API, we receive the job description text and selected role and experience level. We do not permanently store job description text; it is processed in memory and discarded after the response.

2.4 Job Applications

If you submit an application through our Careers page, we collect your full name, email address, optional LinkedIn profile URL, and optional cover letter. This data is stored in Supabase and used to evaluate your application.

2.5 CLI Usage

The JobSelect CLI runs locally. In local mode, no data leaves your device. In API mode, job description text and your API key are transmitted over HTTPS.

2.6 Usage and Technical Data

We may collect IP addresses for rate limiting and security, request timestamps in server logs, and standard HTTP headers. We do not use cookies for tracking or third-party advertising analytics.

We use account information for authentication and communication, API key hashes for request verification, submitted job descriptions to produce predictions in real time, application data to evaluate candidates, and technical data for rate limiting, security, debugging, and uptime monitoring.

We do not sell your data, use your submitted data to train our models, or use your data for advertising.

Your data may be processed by the infrastructure providers used to operate the Services, including Supabase for database/authentication, Render for API hosting, and Vercel for frontend hosting.

Security measures include HTTPS on endpoints, SHA-256 API key hashing, Row Level Security where applicable, rate limiting, and no plaintext password storage by JobSelect Labs.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. We may share data with service providers required to operate our Services, subject to their own policies and agreements.

• Supabase — database and authentication.
• Render — API hosting and server infrastructure.
• Vercel — frontend hosting.
• Hugging Face and PyPI — public model/package distribution; they do not receive your private account data merely because public resources are hosted there.

The JobAnalyze 6k model weights and training dataset may be published publicly. Public repositories and datasets contain only the information intentionally included in those releases. If you believe published data should be removed, contact jobselectlabs@gmail.com.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing.

Account and API-key records are generally retained until deletion is requested, unless a longer period is required by law or reasonably necessary for security or dispute resolution. Job descriptions submitted for inference are not intended to be permanently retained. Other operational logs and application data may be retained for periods appropriate to their purpose.

Our services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it where appropriate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we may notify registered users through appropriate channels. Continued use of the Services after a change constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
